Francis Padilla, who was born and raised in the county of Santa Barbara, California. Francis Padilla works at his studio in Santa Cruz, California. His mediums are charcoal, graphite, oil, water and acrylic paints. He has shown in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties. His studies started at a parochial high school in Santa Barbara county with a Belgian art instructor, and he found the Santa Barbara Museum of Art a constant source of inspiration of world class exhibits.

Society of Six on thru to the Bay Area Figurative movement, focusing on Nathan
Oliveira, and Manuel Neri.
